What are the main classifications of abrasives?

Abrasive Abrasives are the general name of abrasives and abrasives, including abrasive products and Bai Abrasives products. Abrasive Abrasives are known as industrial teeth. In grinding, abrasive or abrasive tools are commonly used as grinding tools to machine parts to meet certain technical requirements. The commonly used abrasives are cutting and grinding wheel blades, blinds, quick changing discs, grinding rolls, bonded wheels, thousand blade grinding rings and sandpaper grinding rings, non bonded thousand blade grinding wheels, thousand blade grinding wheels, sandpaper rolls and down coils, tungsten steel rotary files. The abrasive products are mainly divided into corundum abrasives and silicon carbide abrasives

1. Brown corundum abrasive, mainly composed of Al2O3, has medium hardness, high toughness, sharp particles, relatively low price, suitable for processing metal with high tensile strength. Microcrystalline corundum abrasives and black corundum abrasives are their derivatives.

2. The hardness of white corundum abrasives is slightly higher than that of brown corundum, but its toughness is poor. It is easy to cut into the workpiece during grinding, with good self sharpening property, small calorific value, strong grinding ability and high efficiency. Chromium corundum abrasive is a derivative of it.

3. Single crystal corundum abrasive is composed of single crystal, and has good multi edge cutting edge, high hardness and toughness, strong grinding ability and less grinding heat. The disadvantage is that the production cost is high and the output is low, so the price is relatively high. Zirconium corundum abrasives are also crystal compounds with low hardness, fine crystal size and good wear resistance.

4. Black silicon carbide abrasives, green silicon carbide abrasives, cubic silicon carbide abrasives, cerium silicon carbide abrasives, belong to silicon carbide abrasives. The main components are silicon carbide SiC, with high hardness, high brittleness, sharp abrasive grains, good thermal conductivity and strong wear resistance, which are more suitable for processing hard and brittle metal and non-metallic products.
